What is Bucks for Bernie’s Kids?
Bucks for Bernie’s Kids is a 12 Hour Relay Race that will raise funds for the Kennett High School Track and Field Program. “Bernie” is Bernie Livingston, the cross country/track and field coach at Kennett High School for over three decades. The first Bucks for Bernie occurred in 1993 and was set up to raise funds to send Bernie to coaching school to get his USATF Coaching Certification. This year’s event will be to help raise funds for the team. Our goal is $10,000.
Event Information:
– One mile trail loop through Whitaker Woods, North Conway NH
– 12 hours, 7 AM to 7 PM on Saturday July 23rd, 2022
– $50 per runner
– Solo and Team Divisions (2-5 person teams)
– Aid station provided
– Great Prizes for top male & female solo, and top 2 teams
ALL PROCEEDS GO DIRECTLY TO SUPPORT BERNIE’S RUNNERS for uniforms, stop watches, track equipment, and other items not funded by the school district.
Timing
Teams time themselves. We will provide the clock, tables, recording forms, etc.
Bathrooms
We will have bathroom facilities open and/or porta potties.
Food
Be prepared to bring your own food or plan to visit one of the great cafes and restaurants right near Whitaker Woods.
PLEASE talk this up with friends!!! This is a great opportunity for business, organizations, friends, etc. to spend time together and support a great cause.
