What is Bucks for Bernie?
Bucks for Bernie is a 12 Hour Relay Race that will raise funds for the Kennett High School Track and Field Program. The Bernie in Bucks for Bernie is Bernie Livingston, the cross country/track and field coach at Kennett High School for over three decades. The first Bucks for Bernie occurred in 1993 and was set up to raise funds to send Bernie to coaching school to get his USATF Coaching Certification. This year’s event will be to raise funds for the team. Our goal is $10,000.
– One mile trail loop through Whitaker Woods, North Conway NH.
– 12 hours, 7am to 7pm on Saturday July 20th, 2019.
-$50 per runner.
-Solo and Team Divisions (2-5 person teams)
-Aid station provided.
-Great Prizes for top male & female solo, and top 2 teams.
ALL PROCEEDS GO DIRECTLY TO BERNIE’S RUNNERS for uniforms, stop watches, track equipment, and other items not funded by the school district.
Teams time themselves. We will provide the clock, tables, recording forms, etc.
When I am not running, can I sleep?
You may sleep at the track in tents or bring an RV to park by the track. There will NOT be septic or power for the RVs….just a parking place.
We will have bathroom facilities open and/or porta potties.
Be prepared to bring your own food or plan to visit one of the great cafes and restaurants right near Whitaker Woods.
